What’s the longest kiss you’ve ever had? The longest recorded kiss was during a challenge for the Breath Savers longest kiss challenge. It was recorded at 29 hours.   

 

Here’s one for the ladies. The active kissing is 29 muscles into motion. That means that kissing can help tone out your face and prevent wrinkles. 

 

In medieval Italy, if a man was caught kissing a woman in public, he had to marry her, whether he liked it or not. 

 

Do you’re probably familiar with this: XOXO. And you’re probably familiar with the fact that the X stands for kisses and the O stands for hugs. Well, how did the X come about standing for kisses? In the middle ages, when people were illiterate, couldn’t read or write, they would sign documents with an X. And they would kiss that X as a sign of sincerity. So eventually, the X became to stand for kisses of love. 

 

Most of us love the candy, Hershey’s kisses. But where did it get its name from? It got its name for the fact that when the machine makes the candy, it looks like its kissing the conveyor belt. 

 

Here in America, we are familiar with the term “French kiss.” However, in France, they call it a juncture of souls, or a soul kiss. 

 

The reason why they refer to it as a soul kiss is because it’s an open mouth kiss with an exchange of breath. Now the geek word for breath and soul, psyche, is the same. In essence, the French kiss, is the exchanging of souls. 

 

The ancient Egyptians never kissed with their mouths. In fact, they kissed with their noses. 

 

In the 16th century, in Naples, Italy, kissing was an act that was punishable by death. 

 

Your lips are actually very sensitive. In fact they are so sensitive that they are 200 times more sensitive than your fingertips. 

 

Here’s one for the married men. Do you kiss your wife before you go to work? It is said that men who kissed their wives before leaving to go to work live 5 years longer than men who don’t. So you better be nice to your wife, or it might cost you your life. 

 

They also say that men who don’t kiss their wives are more prone to auto accidents. So kiss your wives!
